   Proposal Description:
   This project aims to assess transition probabilities between normal cognition, mild cognitive impairment, and Alzheimer's disease states, as well as transitions from these states to institutionalization or death. The likelihood of transitioning will be estimated controlling for select patient characteristics and risk factors. The resulting transition matrix will be used in developing a model to evaluate the progression to later stages of disease, as well as rates of institutionalization and death.
